ABOUT BATTLEPAD
WE LIVE IN A NEW ERA OF DIGITAL THREATS
Cyber-attacks are increasingly being carried out as part of military campaigns. Integrity of classified information is at risk, influencing the capability to react quickly to changing environments. To establish a critical edge in this new environment, powerful digital supporting tools for individuals are required, resulting in the urgent need for secure and seamless digitalization of armed forces.
Project BATTLEPAD is intended to elevate military IT end-user devices to an unprecedented next level, providing a secure and flexible foundation for digitalization and communication, addressing the
challenges of scattered warfare resulting in the immediate need for edge computing, secure connectivity and ensured interoperability.
BATTLEPAD STANDS FOR A SINGLE END-USER DEVICE (EUD)
with seamlessly integrated command, control and communication features. It is versatile in its usability for missions where information security is of utmost importance and enables the tactical edge with new digital and electronic capabilities.
The Consortium behind project BATTLEPAD is made up of three SME-companies from three EU member states (Austria, Croatia, Slovenia) and wants to be an integral part of that industry, designing innovative end-user devices for military applications built on real-world use-cases.
